SUBMISSION TYPES
In a Symposium, professionals come into dialogue, pooling together their knowledge and views about a theme or specific issue. They provide an opportunity to examine this topic in depth from multiple perspectives.
Symposia consist of 3 to 4 short presentations, and a collective discussion to enhance presentations, and is thus an integral part of this session format. Therefore, each Symposium has a chair/organizer and/or a discussant.
We encourage conveners to bring together contributors from different countries or institutions. The emphasis is not on paper reading, but on dialogue, drawing connections, raising questions, highlighting issues, and utilizing audience participation.
The conveners of symposia should submit an abstract for the proposed symposium as well as for each individual presentation. They must name the discussant on the proposal form, as well as the names and affiliations of all individual authors of presentations. The length of the abstracts should not exceed 250 words. Please note that every participant must register individually if the symposium is accepted.
Duration: The duration of each symposium is scheduled for 90 minutes: 3 x 20 minute presentation and 30 minute discussion or 4 x 15 minute presentation and 30 minute discussion.

Workshops offered by one or more experts in a particular area constitute one of the core events of the conference, and are informative interactive sessions in which the participants are engaged in demonstrations, hands-on activities and/or discussion, based on research or practices.
They provide the context for an experiential, interactional and a “learning through doing and sharing” event. We particularly welcome creative workshops that operate on new formats, encouraging active and varied participation.
The abstract for a workshop should include the rationale and outline for the workshop as well as the specific learning objectives. The abstract should be as informative as possible. The total length of the abstract should not exceed 300 words. Workshops are usually addressed to a limited number of participants, to best serve their interactional feature. Please indicate the maximum number of participants.
Please note that every participant must register in order for the workshop to be included in the program.
Duration: Workshops may have a duration of 90 minutes.
The Scientific Committee may suggest a different duration or format for a submitted workshop during the review process.

Oral presentations are related to recent development in the main theme of the conference, referring to research study or professional practice, and/or development of tools and methodology.
In order to make discussion more relevant as well as encourage further collaboration, the scientific committee will group oral communications into sessions by theme.
The abstract should include a summary of the presentation and be as informative as possible. For research presentations, abstracts need to include the research question, a description of methods, results, and a brief discussion including implications for practice/policy. The total length of the abstract should not exceed 250 words.
Duration: The time allocated for each presentation is 15 minutes followed by 5 minutes questions/discussion. Four oral presentations are grouped together around a theme in one session [total session duration 90minutes].
Please note that every participant must register in order for paper to be included in the program.
